Richmond Virginia Hyatt Hotel

A pair of Richmond hotels are to be sold, and one has been added to the list as part of a $590 million nationwide deal for a major facelift. The 127-room Hyatt Place Arboretum is undergoing extensive renovations under a contract with Lone Star Hotels & Resorts, the chain's parent company. Both are being sold by Hyatts Hotel Group, a subsidiary of Marriott International, Inc., and the former owner of both hotels, and both were responsible for major "facelifts" as part of a $500 million, nationwide deal. The Lone Star acquisition, which Hyatt is expected to complete in November, will be the latest in a string of hotel deals this year.

Jeff Kotlarczyk, the hotel's general manager, said the new owners of the building plan to renovate all the rooms by the end of 2015. It is unclear how much Lone Star will spend on the Arboretum Hotel or what upgrades are planned.

The restaurant has a bar and lounge and offers limited room service and a private dining area with city views.
